Just before we set on the sail boat with Ulysse Nardin to unveil the new Marine Deck Tourbillon in Abu Dhabi, we had a great couple of days in the city, where we were invited by our good friends at Al Manara International Jewellery.
Starting the trip with a ride to the showroom at The Galleria, Al Maryah Island, we saw some of the most elegant and classy watches by Patek Philippe, A. Lange & Söhne, Audemars Piguet and many other brands we love.
Same went for the ladies pieces and jewellery, especially when it came to the selection of Graff models.
To enjoy the day outside we decided to explore the beach and the surroundings of the Emirates Palace incredible 7 star hotel. We also took some of the best timepieces from Al Manara IJ with us and had just the right mood for an improvised photoshoot.
In case you’ve never been to Abu Dhabi and aren’t familiar with Al Manara both (the state and the boutiques) should definitely be on your must-go list. While the climate is definitely warm it cools down and becomes just about perfect around November. I probably shouldn’t even mention the iconic Ferrari museum or the 7 star Emirates Palace hotel but in case you haven’t seen pictures just google them and I’m pretty sure the next thing you’re going to be looking for on the web is airplane tickets.
Now when it comes to watches or jewellery Al Manara did a very good job of beating any other retailer or showroom since 1973 (back when it was originally founded). It is now part of UAE’s biggest and most loved watch and jewellery retailer group -Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, which means you’ll be able to find virtually any brand of watches out there if you visit Al Manara IJ in Abu Dhabi.
And to see what we did next after exploring the city and Al Manara’s watches check out the last post we did about the amazing UN Marine Deck Tourbillon launch and review.
