‘You wanna know what I have? A car whose doors open like this. Not like this! Not like this!’
In case you, much like Russ Hanneman, despise doors that open up in regular fashion, you’re going to enjoy this post. This week we’ve had the pleasure of taking a pretty slick car out for a drive, the McLaren 570S.
McLaren has been around the block for a while now, but only in the last few years have we seen what the brand is really capable of, with such beasts like the P1 hypercar, the 675 LT, or this thing right here:
The names of McLaren models are pretty self explanatory – 570 is the amount of horse power that the 3.8 V8 bi-turbo engine generates, and boy do you enjoy it. 600nm of torque and a top speed of 328 km/h (204mph).
When we say 0-100 real quick we mean it this time, as the 570S does it in just 3.2 seconds! What’s even more impressive is the 0-200 which goes in just 9.5 s. Top that with a custom sport exhaust and a unique colour, and you’ll have all eyes on the car.
Apart from McLaren 570S performing really well, we can’t ignore its sporty and minimal interior. It is a true driver’s car, with an easy to navigate display and pretty much any customisation to the materials and colours you’d ever imagine. With the right choice of colours the interior of a 570S will be a perfect echo of its exterior. And in case you don’t like listening to the sound of V8 you can install an outstanding Bowers & Wilkins surround system with 12 speakers placed in the coupe.
